Aah, I think I see the misunderstanding. Judging from the mention of butter by "meat" you probably mean just muscles, not fat. In the carnivore community the term generally refers to both and sometimes also eggs or other animal products.

And yes, eating animal fat is absolutely required and every experienced carnivore I've seen says to eat a lot of it. 1:1 fat:protein ratio by weight or higher is generally recommended. And yes, if you didn't eat fat you'd not only get hard stools but also Rabbit starvation and eventually death.

It's great that you eat a lot of meat - you're getting important nutrients. Just note that plant elimination is also an important part of the diet. Contrary to popular belief, they can be very harmful. Here's my favorite talk about it: https://youtu.be/j1cqNDDG4aA

Sure, you just can never be sure since studies aren't generally 100%. I meant to share the talk as a general idea. That's why I advocate doing experiment on yourself for just three months and comparing - then it's personal to you. Then you can try adding the plants you'd like to eat one-by-one.

I personally found I no longer desire to eat them. 😀 YMMV

Oh, yes, "why would I need to change" is a common question. I'll tell you a story.

Until about 8 years ago I didn't wear glasses. I always thought that I see well, I could read fine, I could identify objects... And sure the more distance from me the harder it was to see. But that applies to everyone, right? Until one day I randomly looked through the glasses of someone else. I was amazed "what the hell, this is like seeing in full HD!" So I went to the doctor and got prescription.

Years later, very similar story. I personally wasn't aware of any health problem but for some time I was curious about carnivore. Then one day I watched the talk I linked and I thought "This is so interesting! I'm finally going to try it." So I did.

A few weeks later I got an insane surge of energy. I felt like I could fly. Went to gym and after a proper workout I still felt that I could probably do a marathon. I was also subjectively and objectively smarter. I could think better and I had much, much better score in puzzles. My sleep was also great I always woke up instantly ready to work. Didn't feel like that since early childhood. And my procrastination plummeted. Even my vision felt clearer and more focused. I was amazed.

I had no idea this was even possible. For years I lived in the dark putting off trying. And this is what I regret about carnivore the most. Not doing it sooner. (Side note: since then I messed up some things and I struggle to get the energy back. Other people don't seem to have this problem.)

Of course if you have tons of energy, wake up fresh with zero fatigue there's a good chance you won't see a difference. I can't tell. Nobody can. And of course if you love vegetables more than the idea of feeling like this, that's totally understandable. I myself don't.

I totally believe you are already waaaaaaay healthier than most of the population, so congrats on that!

It's a good thing you changed then!

I'm happy you have found something that brings you balance ✨🙏
