That’s true but the father of stoicism definitely had it pretty damn good 😂

Easy for me to say as well but the battle is always internal. Even with all the money and time in the world, we create problems and insecurities because it is in our nature. Move past them and control what you can control while letting go of what you cannot.
"authentic" spiritual practices are usually the result of wealthy societies
like you say, hard to do the work when you're trying to put food on the table.
this is exactly why I care about hard money.
This would explain why our culture has become so degenerate
+1
keep them sick and fighting for crumbs and they will degenerate naturally 😢
This is kinda what I was trying to say in my original post. Things like meditation and mindfulness are helpful but also build tolerance to unacceptable circumstances. Instead of ending the fed, people do deep breathing and positive affirmations.
nostr is my deep breathing lol
NGL, nostr has been better for my mental health than any other mindfulness shit lol
People are focusing on the mind.
The mind is full of noise and the reason for their searching for peace.
Realise that you are not the mind.
Notice the distance between YOU and your mind.
Watch the mind.
See it for what it is.
Then you be free.
I agree with you on all these points. However, some of the noise is legitimate. For example, my anxiety about fiat debasement is what pushed me to study Austrian economics. If I ignored that anxiety and just labeled it as noise, I’d be poor as fuck and still bending the knee to the legacy financial system. I think we need a balance.
Help me out here
