My 7 year old first completed Portal 2 with no help when he was 5ish. He had been playing it and completing it with minimal help for not quite a year.

Highly recommend the Zelda games. My daughter enjoys them a lot.
Me and my daughter play zelda tears of the kingdom...we just put the horse on a road and it autosteers...and we look around at the scenery. Or, we put on the goblin mask and go hand out with goblins, and feed them hahah. Incredible game.
His dad is "PC Master Race" so the only way he'd get a console for Zelda is if I buy one. Lol.
