I have a good friend, PhD as well, super smart, making good amount of money. Still sleeping on a matress on the floor and has 2 cups, 2 glas, 2 fork, 2 knifes, 2 spoon in his kitchen. His dinning table has 4 chairs but I think it was already here when he moved in.
