🇦🇷 Argentina's Milei Faces Fraud Charges, Impeachment Calls After Failed Memecoin Launch

Milei is embroiled in controversy for promoting LIBRA, a Solana-based token, whose value dropped 95% from $4.5 billion to $200 million over the weekend. Insiders reportedly cashed out $87.4 million in tokens during the incident.

"This scandal, which embarrasses us on an international scale, requires us to launch an impeachment request against the president," added Leandro Santoro, a member of the opposition coalition.

Yes ofc. Basically the opposition in Argentina "calls" for impeachments all the time for absolutely everything but those are not formal impeachment requests or even calls for it, they are more like calls to call for it.

In this case this is just one more of those lies that are part of the dirty political game and it's not different to the previous ones (except for the fact that Milei made something idiotic)
