I'm not particularly thrilled with the US government having a strategic Bitcoin reserve,

But I'm pretty sure if the US government doesn't have a strategic Bitcoin reserve in place, then someday in the future when the need for Bitcoin becomes apparent, the government will just seize the Honeypot that is Coinbase custody.
