for societies that already have a drug problem, there’s no benefit to criminalizing “drugs”; for example, the “war on drugs” was a net negative, and it was also a great evil in how it enabled grave injustices towards unprivileged communities. also, look at how “they” used weed to incarcerate people for decades…for weed.
100%… so government might as well start taxing it now. Criminalize it, then tax it, the playbook is as old as government itself. Canada controls the distribution of alcohol through government stores exclusively. You can call that a cartel…
