My sister lived on Oahu for a couple years. Her husband was a pilot for one of the local airlines flying cargo between the islands. I vacationed in Wailea/Kihei, Maui a long time ago. I miss it. I hope that coastal Hwy 30/340 around the Northwest of the island has been improved since then. That's a real white-knuckle drive!

was Hawaii a covid lockdown nightmare, or was I misinformed? I heard they were on full lockdown, but I do not have 1st hand knowledge.
Total lockdown nightmare and they required the vaxx to travel back to Hawaii and masks everywhere for a ridiculously long time. My sister and her kids came to live with me for 7 months because of it. My Covid takeaway was to have the ability to be mobile if necessary.
