I've heard from hardware technician that it will varies between each hardware. On average, the paste can probably last 2-3 years for 'regular use'. If you are hardcore gamer or doing any cpu intensive work which regularly max your cpu usage then the paste might dry in 1-1.5 year. Better check it to your technician 😅

Yup just think it like a regular maintenance. Well, even if you don't need to replace the paste, at least you can request technician to clean the old dust collected in your laptop/pc 😄

If the laptop is easy enough to work on you might as well do it. I repasted my old Thinkpad last year and it was super easy.
