Ethics question:
friend is installing solar panels on roof. Says to me, “might as well get the government help (subsidy) since my taxes are paying for it.” I say, “no, your taxes aren’t paying for it, the money printer is paying for it” we went round and round.
Is making use of government funding perpetuating the fiat monster? I didn’t know any of this at the time of the COVID stimulus checks, but I now feel like I wouldn’t have taken it. Because we are hurting ourselves. We are stealing from ourselves and others.
Thoughts on the ‘morality’ or ‘wisdom’ of making use of these things? I can’t help shake the idea that it perpetuates the system we are all trying to escape from. Or is this too idealistic?

Incentives - people will choose what is right for themselves/family and ignore the greater consequences.
It’s also why it’s impossible to change the system from the system.
So yes - idealistic/unrealistic….but….
If you’re in Bitcoin, you’re already part of a completely different system unfolding that those actions can’t hurt.
