A “country” IS its government; one doesn’t exist without the other.
The people a country is said to oversee, however, have nothing to do with either. Culture, community, family, and identity are much bigger than borders.

When foreign forces wants to take over power, part of the strategy is to remove the identity of the people. Outlaw their language, cultural customs and other signifiers of the community. Separate the people from their heritage. Make them invisible. Good morning to you too ✨
