It is almost as if the goal was to precisely rule out any possibility to descalate the war and to condition a huge part of the population to demand that the US - futilely - supply Ukraine with all kinds of weapons to keep the fight going, so that when they inevitably lose the war after bleeding Russia, the US is pushed to avenge Ukraine and/or conduct a regime change in Russia... 🤷

By presuming Putin is irrational, you rule out any possibility of peace talks, or any possibility of gaining the understanding necessary for negotiating such talks. The piece is not pro-Putin, it is pro-understanding-Putin. Sun Tzu long ago instructed us to "know your enemy." Why is that seen today as a bad thing?
