By presuming Putin is irrational, you rule out any possibility of peace talks, or any possibility of gaining the understanding necessary for negotiating such talks. The piece is not pro-Putin, it is pro-understanding-Putin. Sun Tzu long ago instructed us to "know your enemy." Why is that seen today as a bad thing?

He’s a made a fuck ton of money since sanctions and has killed 500k UKRs.

He’s winning.

Why would he negotiate?

Because he doesn't want a war and because he wants a written guarantee that Ukraine won't join NATO.

Nah man Climate change is worse than Nuclear War atleast that's what sleepy Joe thinks which is probably why the war won't end

Russia's invasion makes sense to them. If Russia tried to get Canada or Mexico to join a new Warsaw Pact, then the USA would probably invade.

On the other hand, the West's strategy with Ukraine is also rational. Russia and China supplied Vietnam during the Vietnam War and we are doing the same.

It is almost as if the goal was to precisely rule out any possibility to descalate the war and to condition a huge part of the population to demand that the US - futilely - supply Ukraine with all kinds of weapons to keep the fight going, so that when they inevitably lose the war after bleeding Russia, the US is pushed to avenge Ukraine and/or conduct a regime change in Russia... 🤷
