Personal proxy relays are a better solution in my opinion.

Run a proxy relay away from your home. That proxy relay connects to other relays for you. You connect your clients to this single relay.

Good on individual level, but does not scale

What about it do you suspect doesn't scale?

Not everyone will use for or learn how to set up a proxy.

- "learn how to set up" - when properly packaged a productized, this part will be obviated. if you can click a button and send some sats, you can have a proxy relay.

- "not everyone will use" - sure, but that's true for anything. "not everyone will use" nostr, either. those who opt in (to proxy relays, or to nostr) get to enjoy the benefits.

I agree, but maybe we can find a solution that scale for more people, more people with privacy means better privacy and security for whistleblowers and dissidents

I agree entirely. Every individual should be able to have absolute privacy with very little setup.
