Honestly, I think bitcoin is such a daunting intellectual mountain to climb, I don't really fault peers, frens, and fam. They are going on really good heiristics ("what does a scam look like", "what does a bubble look like", "what does a cult look like", etc...) that have served them for years. On the other side, most bitcoiners are basically going on second-hand information that's been rarified and synthesized into narratives, so the plebs are limited in their capacity to advocate in an objective and robust way.
