Spent this evening at a charity auction for my kids school. I've also been #sober for most of 2024. Those things might not seem related but it's the first time I've been in a very crowded very loud room without medicating with alcohol for a very long time. And it sucks. There's not really a happy ending to this story, I spent the entire evening in overwhelm and hypervigilance without anything to calm me down am now im utterly exhausted and down about how I can't be normal, hi-ho
