Hello peeps! Can anyone give me some recommendations for mesh routers for a 4000+ square foot home with a large backyard?

Wrong kind of mesh! nostr:nprofile1qqsq08tj00hrmqz7y36csc02f5pgktn2x7q9lrd5t0uqgkleqqyev5qpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuvrcvd5xzapwvdhk6qgjwaehxw309ac82unsd3jhqct89ejhxqg6waehxw309akkjmrhv96kk6t99ehx7um5wgcjucm0d5z7x4m0 was talking about the hot new routers a while back.

I've used netgear orbi before and they're good but not perfect. Signal is very strong and they sell outdoor adapters. Ynfortunately each node or whatever is huge but they all include onboard ethernet, support wired backchannels (I hook them up via tplink powerline adaptors), and are fast. The routers web interface allows for a lot of customization. They take a long time to reconnect though whenever your network goes down from power outages or whatnot.

I appreciate the suggestion, but I think I'll be going with something from eero. Again, thanks!😁

Used a lot of brands by now but I’m currently very happy with my Linksys Velop. I did also see eero launched an outdoor mesh extender recently

I'm checking out the site, rn. Thanks!

Have you ever used any of eeros routers?

Yeah couple years back. They’re still one of the top mesh brands but most are on pretty equal footing these days. A lot of the decision is just personal preference unless there’s a specific feature you need like smart home connections etc

I might go with the eero Max 7 3-pack. Maybe get a Outdoor 7🤔.

Followed, btw🫡.

Depends on your current infrastructure and how much you're willing to change or upgrade or your budget really... But I personally would go for a unifi/ubquiti Dream Machine Router with PoE (Power over Ethernet) ports on it, then running the Unifi WiFi 6E+ access point every so often. You can get a long distance access point too but that might not be feasible to you if you're working with elevation and floors.

Check out these guys anyways... they're my goto now after using everything else thrown at me that's made for SOHO.
