What do my fellow Nostriches use to remote view their Ubuntu machines from their Android/GOS spyware I mean mobile phone? I wish there was something that works so beautifully as Renmina on desktop, but I can't find anything like it for mobile.

Termux

As in... running Linux environment on my GOS phone and installing Renmina in it?

Would that work??

Actually Holesail might be what you want for viewing. Termux would just be SSH.

Looks good.

But "vver the internet" is a no-go in this particular case, just like DWService. Both machines are strictly local.

I don't need to access the Ubuntu machine from "anywhere", just from the sofa in my living room or from my bed, really.

DWService - Free and Open Source. X11 works out of the box, XWayland is in progress, but there is a work around if you need GUI. Bonus, it can also run on Windows and Mac.

Looks like a very practical solution, but these two particular devices must stay local... No cloud/third party in the middle.

I'll try it with my other devices though!

You could do that with Tailscale.com and VNC, RDP, etc. assuming that would count as local since it uses third party for SSO

So much stuff to study. Will do!

If you need any help, let me know.
