This is how you orange pill someone. Once they see this in action, they’ll always question why their bank/PayPal/western union etc takes days to transfer money or their debit card to settle payments.

Here is where I start to struggle. The “everyday” person wants to be able to spend what they have on everyday items.
Without being about to use lightning in corner stores I think it’s hard to keep the engagement.

That’s what Strike is kind of building out with NCR and your broad PoS vendors. For them it’s dollars to dollars transaction using Lightning as the payment rails, not Bitcoin as the payment medium. That’s how we start.
Similar to how you can use your debit card and the visa network, or you could find vendors that would probably take gold in some form. There are those that never took checks and a lot that don’t take cash. It is what it is unless they are forced to by local laws. However a lot of companies will take the money however they can get it and will adapt/adopt.
I can only imagine how many actions need to complete before it’s off the ground but I do believe they will get there.
When he made the announcement at the BTC conference in 2022 I was stoked but recently heard him talk about how it was, well, complicated.
I’m with you though. Once it’s at go live I’m going to be striking everywhere I can and get others to follow 🙏🏼
