Gold has the same value it had 100 years ago. The appearance of Gold gaining value is just the fiat denominator losing value against hard assets.
Unlike Gold; Bitcoin has a known fixed supply, a lower supply inflation as of the last halving, and Metcalfe's Law working for it. Not to mention the transfer/settlement layers are built in, without any need for trusted intermediaries.
