I'm really struggling with the psychological impact of the whole thread, especially the other people's replies that made yours look totally chill by comparison. I feel like giving up on Monero, but I know it's manipulation and gaslighting making me feel that way, just can't seem to pull up from the dive.
As a token of my apology, I am now using gupax to mine for the WikiLeaks donation address on a Ryzen 5, if I understand what I'm seeing on my screen correctly.
I just can't do this forever. Ease of use solution should target Android. I feel pressured into using a system with a fan to mine cryptocurrency and I hope I can in return pressure the community to stop promoting that behavior (by recognizing Android's priority status)
Nevermind, I was not understanding what I saw on my screen correctly.
All it was doing was syncing data from the pool (or the node?) to mine, but not actually mining it because it won't do that without superuser privileges implemented via entering the fucking sudo password in the GUI. Absolutely fucking insane implementation.
This is such a shitty day.
