These were steel wires present in an Ethiopian Arabica. They went through my Porlex ceramic burr grinder. Luckily I couldn’t see any damage incurred.
The coffee beans roast is OK, that’s why I’ll be still buying it. Also the price is somewhat adequate.

I hit rocks in my old Lido a couple times. I was worried about the burr, but it seems to be fine. I've started looking more carefully at my green and roasted coffee lately.
Yeah, that's what will need to pay attention to. These beans taste well and are relatively inexpensive. Also I do not seem to have any sudden reaction to possible xenobiotic chemical contaminants.
