Depends on the country... In my country still not allowed to transact with other assets rather than just Fiat. But if you know the Barista or it's your friend.. you can pay it with Lightning ⚡ (before that you need to explain it to them) 🪬👽🪬 #studybitcoin ⚡
Most people don't know anything about bitcoin. They make their decisions based on main stream media.
Once you have a channel (that is, if you are non-custodial), its actually nice! Getting there can be a bit of a challenge though imo. But yes, I like it a lot!
Only thing missing for me is a very clear and recommendable route from off-chain lightning to fiat for the cases where you need it. But that's really the only one. (And yes, I have yet to exchange on RoboSats myself, which only prefers to work through Tor etc etc.)
UX is a little odd sometimes, but that's probably more due to how relatively new it is.
That all said; man do I wish I could spent my sats directly. xD Would make so many things so much easier!

most people think Bitcoin and lightning (if they even know what lightning is) is super difficult and only for the tech-savvy
thing is, people are stubborn, and even after discovering that it's easier than conventional methods, they still won't use it
people are lazy
The same happened to me in Croatia when I asked the exchange cashier (where BTC was featured as USD, Kuna) if they really exchange BTC into Kuna. The cashier's face was like 🤷♂️
When the waiter said they dont tske bitcoin I offered an additional 15% if I could hive hom tha sats & he pay thr bill... done on 30 sec
