While I don’t totally disagree with you, there isn’t really anywhere else to go.
It’s not like I’d be safe in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, or even Australia.
So, at this point, it’s fight and win or lose everything anyway. There is no “safe place” to go.
It’s worse than that as we import ever more incompetent foreigners to do whatever jobs remain.
