Serious question – How does an anything-goes platform with minimal or no moderation tools help fix social media? That approach has fallen on its face more times that I can count over the history of the Internet.
Moderation tools at the client level makes sense, why are we fostering that on the relay level?

Just like everything else on nostr, some will support and want it, others won’t and don’t need to use or see it. What’s the problem there?
Also, client-level moderation tools in most clients are woefully underdeveloped or non-existent.
