Do it! I have great recipes if you ever are able to get venison. Especially for the “backstrap” or loin steak, but that’s better served as a steak.

I have a freezer full of venison. And still have my backstrap but definitely not making jerky with it. The fam and I really like a good deer stew. So damn good!

Was my second year deer hunting with my dad, wish I would have done it while I was young, just never got into it. But I got one. Pretty nice buck too.

I’m super excited about turkey season opening up this weekend. We do a turkey fry, it’s a awesome family gathering. 🤙 💜

I’d love to get your jerky recipe! Wouldn’t mind giving that a shot.

Same man. Blessed with a buck and doe this year. Did my first ever euro mount.

I try to find so many different ways to eat it because I like it. Chili and stew are always great, but nothing beats the backstraps.

It’s awesome that you get to do that with your dad. Cherish those memories and take some photos together. I started after college and have been hooked since.

Nothing fancy on the jerky. I just thinly slice, use a store bought cure and try different seasonings out. I found a mesquite that’s really good and that’s what I’m doing this round.
