Low fee Ordinal inscriptions are going to start falling out of the mempool as well as your low fee financial transactions.

😳

That can’t be good.

This is great news. Make the shitcoiners pay more fees. Use lightning for transacting while we wait for them to implode on themselves

Yesterday my on chain transfer was downright cheap. I guess that will soon be a thing of the past.

That's a good thing! The market is healing itself 🙂

Mempool has a depth of 68 blocks, and is just about to reach the 300 MB memory limit on nodes with default configuration. 15 blocks of data are now above the 1–2 ṩ/vB feerate band. The minimum feerate to get into the next block is 17 ṩ/vB.

Some laughs still end in tears

It'll work itself out.

Nature is healing.

yup, doesn’t mean it’s not bad for bitcoin

Nothing is bad for Bitcoin. It's anti-fragile. It's competition for blockspace so it's only bad for certain usrs of Bitcoin.

This.

or just run a older version of bitcoin core

I remember when the FTX thing failed, I was moving a huge chunk of corn off exchange. If I was late a little bit, I would’ve paid lot more.

It felt kinda good when you look back at them while they trying to squeeze through the crowded blocks lol.

There's no One Mempool.

Each node has its own mempool with its limits, it's pending transactions, etc.

Uh huh... And some mining mempools are at 1 GB of transactions!

What does this mean?

I'm not familiar with "purging". Does that mean the transaction will just fail and the coins returned back to the sending address?

Essentially, yes.

No.

It depends on the node who build the mined blocks and its own mempool size.

the transaction will not happen at all

Someone opening a channel to me put their fee at 1 sat and it's been getting kicked out for > a day.
