The new Nostr DM system gets another player which might not even use relays, which enhances the privacy of everyone.

My understanding is that Bitchat uses a form of Bluetooth for P2P communication. Basically radio. NIP 17 would allow Bitchat to seamlessly switch to Nostr chat if a relay is available, or vice versa? Do I have that right?
