I drink less than you.

It's just assumed that if you make alcohol you're an alcoholic. Why wouldn't it be? I clearly have a passion for the stuff and basically have UNLIMITED WINE at my disposal.

It comes down to two factors:

1) Health as a business necessity - I started Peony Lane because I wanted to bet on myself, not because I loved wine. And I've found that to be successful at solo-entrepreneurship, I need to be healthy. When you're running everything yourself, you can't afford to be operating at anything less than peak performance.

2) Familiarity breeds indifference - Working in wine and having unlimited amounts kind of takes out the excitement of it. Drinking was exciting in the early days. I'd think "I'm a winemaker now!" and pour myself a glass to sip all day during a bottling run. Turns out that wears off quickly.

So does the evening glass.

I love having a glass and sharing my wine with friends, but when I pop a bottle for no major reason, my relaxing evening can give me flashbacks to work. It's like bringing the office home with you, except the office is literally in every bottle.

Just trying to pop a stereotype here. If you want to put me (the bitcoin wine guy) in a box, just realize that my addictions lie much more with stacking sats than popping corks.

Thanks for reading.

I feel like you should be responding to someone not just posting to your followers when you end a post with GFY.

P.S. I never thought you were a drunk or anything.

'Familiarity breeds indifference'

In my student years I worked at a bratwurst & fries shop, an ice creamery and a bakery. Each job eliminated the corresponding craving, I'm STILL indifferent to all those temptations.

Sooooo working in fast food should be the first step towards losing weight for a lot of people?

Exactly

A clear head for a morning bike ride bests most things.

Your seat is a touch too low. Raise it an inch (or two) and let your future knees thank you. You'll also benefit from your larger muscles doing the work. 🙂

It's easier to drink a bottle while riding around the parking lot with your seat down

The easy/cheap access argument sounds reasonable on the surface, but doesn’t really hold up to scrutiny. If you want to be a frequent hard drinker, access is not an issue in most of the world. Nor is the cost, unless you are at the very bottom of the barrel, no pun intended.

Yes but the bar for ease has been lowered

May the force be with you 🫡

I AM THE FORCE 😉

🤣

As a profesional Cook I cannot agree with you more...

During the first kitchen job I lost 10 kg in 3 months. I was very into it, constantly tasteing, learning and doing that.. I just forgot to sit down and eat a plate full of something.

To this day I can fast 72hrs and watch food video. I won't get a hungry fealing at all. I stil love food, it's my biggest passion to this day, is just that my brain learned to detach the seeing and testing stimulus to the feeling of hungriness
