I drink less than you.
It's just assumed that if you make alcohol you're an alcoholic. Why wouldn't it be? I clearly have a passion for the stuff and basically have UNLIMITED WINE at my disposal.

It comes down to two factors:
1) Health as a business necessity - I started Peony Lane because I wanted to bet on myself, not because I loved wine. And I've found that to be successful at solo-entrepreneurship, I need to be healthy. When you're running everything yourself, you can't afford to be operating at anything less than peak performance.
2) Familiarity breeds indifference - Working in wine and having unlimited amounts kind of takes out the excitement of it. Drinking was exciting in the early days. I'd think "I'm a winemaker now!" and pour myself a glass to sip all day during a bottling run. Turns out that wears off quickly.
So does the evening glass.
I love having a glass and sharing my wine with friends, but when I pop a bottle for no major reason, my relaxing evening can give me flashbacks to work. It's like bringing the office home with you, except the office is literally in every bottle.
Just trying to pop a stereotype here. If you want to put me (the bitcoin wine guy) in a box, just realize that my addictions lie much more with stacking sats than popping corks.
Thanks for reading.
