1/ The War on Privacy is REAL! FinCEN rule attempts to treat mixing as suspicious by default. Government overreach, anyone?

2/ Samourai was leading the charge against this proposal, but now they're facing allegations of encouraging criminal activity.

3/ Read the DOJ materials (PDF) yourself and see what I'm talking about!

4/ It's not about the tech being too complex for the government to understand. It's about building a privacy-friendly solution that doesn't enable money laundering.

5/ We need to approach this war with maturity by:

Building decentralized privacy tech

Avoiding marketing services to criminals

Let's make privacy the default and take back control! #PrivacyMatters

It's good that people take on the government, but only if they win.

They don't have to win the case, but if they lose, it has to actually piss people off enough - if not you're just fucked & made no impact.

Burned on the alter... Part of the process I suppose. Let's start to get mad

If you're here, the likelihood that you're mad about it is extremely likely.

It might be the only thing connecting all of us, as we disagree on basically everything outside of freedom to transact / expression which is the same thing as privacy.

The privacy pivot was always in the cards. Gotta love this journey.
