quick question....

how secure do you feel with an app on a phone or device "holding" nsec keys or pass codes, or whatever sec?

all these new apps & devices promising security... when I can't remember when I felt secure about any of this stuff... i back up everything because it's all at risk. how are you trusting one anything?

I don't feel secure at all.

I feel ya, bro.

Me gustaría tener un teléfono que alguien cree de NOSTR

Great question. I feel as secure as I can be, and I usually increase my security as needed. For example, I used to keep my nsec in my notes app when I started. Now that I’ve invested more time, I’ve moved my nsec to a password manager app (e.g. Bitwarden).

On the client side, we have no choice but to paste our nsec most of the time. There are extensions like nos2x, but we generally have to trust another party at some point (unless I’m missing something). Backing up is something I’m interested considering all of that, and I look forward to create some tools to help with this down the line. 🤙

appreciate your pov.
