VPNs are not illegal here in Brazil, but using them to access prohibited content may result in fines.

Well, if they catch you using it… 😄

God forbid people learn that Mullvad VPN accepts Bitcoin and generates a random number that cannot be connected to you! 😎

I suppose the Brazilian government could try to block access to that website.

A simple change in DNS solves this.

Same with IVPN

Better still - they will prosecute first and find out later.

There is no restraint on a government body once they can abuse power.

They are not even following the due process of law anymore if you say the wrong words.

They just open an eternal investigation and arrest you, without even allowing access to its records. Not even a lawyer…

I know. I've read the news.

It won't go on for too long, don't worry. This has happen many times and needs complete collaboration of the people or it will fail.

Just like free speech.

Not illegal unless you say the wrong thing.

Unless you want to risk your opsec being great, you can do it. Any public profile like mine would be obvious to see we're not complying and be prosecuted. The fine for using telegram through VPNs was R$100k/day if I remember well.
