That’s just based on my experience here. When I’ve searched hashtags to find other women to connect with they are rarely active. Of course there’s exceptions, but I’ve had a difficult time finding women, therefore it seems as though nostr is primarily men. But I agree that it doesn’t have to be! I don’t want it to be. I don’t know what would need to change to draw more people in. The emotional safety issue is a huge one, whether you’re a woman, trans, person of color or another group. When I go on TikTok I know that I won’t be harassed and have no power to do something about it. Here, I can only unfollow and mute, yet the haters can still follow me.
