That is interesting i guess for me its not so much ties to positivity but more literal wishing for a certain outcome

I understand your definition. So theoretically, if you wish for a negative outcome, you would consider it being hopeful?
It feels very weird to say yes to that but i lean towards yes

Its not set in stone and i will think on it.
I guess i whould say your outlook on the future determines your hope. And losing the ability to habe positive hope puts it into depressed
