Source? There are studies that concluded even eating 3+ grams per pound of body weight has no detrimental effects. I'm only going to target 1g per pound.

Don't have a source but I can probably find one. I'm old enough to remember that the early followers of the Atkins diet 20 plus years ago developed kidney problems years later.
