The Bitcoin community seems to be turning on itself lately. Faction against faction. Brother against brother. All seem to forget that we are on the same side.

The real enemy doesn’t want Bitcoin or any blockchain to succeed to be honest. It takes power away from them and they can’t have that.

The money printer and people in government love to see the infighting because it means we are distracted and not focused on the mission at hand, which is wresting power away from the centralized powers and giving it back to the people.

We are on a mission to remake the world from the bottom up with no leaders. This has never been tried before but for it to have any chance at succeeding we need to be on the same team.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to fix the money and the world. Let’s not mess it up with worthless infighting.

This is completely normal, especially during protracted price downturns. Snake oil salesmen come out of the woodwork to advocate for controversial changes, bc they know people who are down will be receptive to the "muh utility makes number go up" narrative. And ofc this riles the OG's up, bc they know that's just a VC grift. And so we mix it up for a little bit. Some people get butthurt and memed.

Interesting… guess I wasn’t expecting it. I thought it would be more let’s keep our heads down and build mentality during this bear market. It’s not a good look lol

Still a fam, but we fight a lot, bc we get very defensive about changes.

Read "The Blocksize War" by Jonathan Bier, if you want an idea of how bad it can get. "Not a good look" is an understandable reaction, but Bitcoin is not an optics-driven marketing effort. Price has gone up and adoption has gone up, even as we have fought. This is just the way it is, and all the mewling about "toxicity" is just noise from people who have spent too much time wearing a suit.

Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll have to check it out. This is my first bear market so I’m not used to all the infighting lol but from what I am learning this is normal, so I can roll with that.

The beauty of bitcoin is that the network doesn’t care. You wanna make changes? Fork the code, see how it goes. Otherwise stfu and gfy

True but Bitcoin has a social layer that drives decision about investing time in certain BIPS etc… the social layer matters alot

What kind of comment is this? You want us to walk blind dumb and silent off a cliff like fiat sheep? You want us to let the midwits turn Bitcoin into a shitcoin with their endless propagandized 'improvements?'
