I spent a few days at the MicroStrategy Bitcoin and Lightning for corporations event.

Great event- exceedingly well organized.

Bitcoiners talking to finance, corporate sales, and tech people. Not just bitcoiners talking to other bitcoiners. That is valuable.

Microstrategy announced a sats reward program. They have extensive enterprise software sales relationships that they can use to sell this new product line. It allows businesses to offer customized sats rewards programs for employees, users, etc. So with the software, a company can easily offer sats for employees attending meetings on time, for users writing a review, for users filling out a survey, for meeting fitness goals, etc.

We will see how it goes, but I like this way of thinking. Many people don’t want to spend sats yet, but they do want to earn sats.

The good old austrian incentive that moves the world.

Sounds like a tax nightmare though.

So companies are going to be willing to pay out sats to incentivize actions? How will they justify this expense? Was there conversation around the nuance of implementing these types of incentives?

Lightning is such an obvious implementation in so many places, so it makes sense and is awesome, that Saylor puts his effort in there

The 20s are for stacking.

I attended for the first two years, virtually and then he started charging this year, so I couldn’t get approval. Great signal though. I respect that he open sourced the bitcoin for balance sheets playbook.

Lyn you were great at the event. Very clear concise thoughts bridging Tradfi with bitcoin. This new Microstrategy platform will flip incentive structures upside down by rewarding employees directly with sats. It will create thousands of new lightning wallets connected to their email addresses. Microstrategy has been beta testing this for months …Watch a trading video…get sats, be on time for a meeting….get sats …take care of your body by working out…get sats. Best part is this isn’t conceptual…it’s rolling out to ALL of their existing software clients. Adoption is leaping forward.

Idk, shouldn't these be things we should do regardless of the reward? What kind of society is a society where you are reward for anything you do? Am I missing something? Thank's!

This is fascinating… I see many applications, especially in services.

I feel some of the comments really miss the point. This could be extremely powerful to align incentives of productivity of individuals within an organization on a micropayment level! Not paid per hour, paid per action.
