It's that final 1% to actual usability that takes 99% of the effort.

This is what I tell people of all human achievement. If the effort you put in isn't difficult to the point of pain then neither will other people pay you to avoid having to experience that pain themselves.

Thus, whatever your field, if markets are working correctly, the difficulty will scale to the pain tolerance of the most persistent competitor.

Do hard things!

Yeah, that's why there's no point in experienced devs building micro apps, or things small and simple enough that AI can build them.

It has to be something relatively large, complex, highly-efficient, maintainable, testable, and novel, or it's a waste of time.

If ANYONE can build something, then NOBODY will build it.
