If I was an active investor, I would also strongly dismiss the entire Bitcoin idea. It's a lot easier to beat the S&P than Bitcoin's RoI.

I need people to believe Bitcoin will die so that I can use an easier benchmark to estimate stronger returns on and justify the added risk.

Just saying.

🌶️ Can we have a hashtag called "hot🌶️takes"?

Ohh cool. What's the best hashtag for that?

#spicy🌶️

I was an active investor, but switched to #Bitcoin only in 2020.

I thought I was an OK VC-baked entrepreneur until Bitcoin started showing its long-term ROI...

Tell me about it!

Satoshi’s unexpected consequences.

Maybe #Bitcoin will stifle technological growth.

EVs unexpectedly changed my driving habits. I used to stop for a big lunch on long journeys.

I now get a coffee and a sandwich which is all I have time for before my car is fully charged 🤣

even worse :)

I don't follow.

Just pointing out that saving and investment are distinct.

And I agree. But if Bitcoin is savings, it makes the case for active management even worse. Because now you are not competing with another risk, you are competing with something that has no risk and still beats you :)

This is the very reason I stopped investing in public-market stocks, or anything other than Bitcoin for that matter.

What's the trailing P/E on Bitcoin?

I am not an investor so.. no idea..

I am an investor and I still have no idea 🤣

Well, I can tell it's infinite if your unit of account is BTC. :)

Yep, 21 million = infinity
