I personally believe that Monero has been made obsolete a long time ago with the Lightning Network and TOR. One can also clean up their on-chain Bitcoin using coinjoin or mixing.

I also noticed how Monero fans always act like trashcoiners when talking about Bitcoin, and unlike us Bitcoiners, they have a hate-relationship with their trashcoin's founder. How sad. 🥺

Depends how you use Lightning.

The vast majority of Lightning users are not using it to it's potential or in a privacy preserving manner at all by using custodial wallets and LSPs.

Coinjoins are also weaker in comparison as all aspects of it are obfuscation and your anon set is very small because vast majority of users don't coinjoin.

Monero amounts and addresses are not visible on-chain and all users are participating by default.

There is also a reason why Lightning is absent from DNMs where default privacy and ease of use are crucial

The cypherpunk and nerd idea is better served by Monero. It's like the cigarette currency in prison. I'm also not sure whether political influence won't be exerted on the payment nodes at some point.
