They're not a panacea. I would say tho that they are very very versatile.
I was a free weights enjoyed, primarily dumbell but barbell OK too. And this equipment takes a little bit to get used to but has a great set of workouts.
It's BEST use case is where you want weights but low/no profile equipment. It's amazing at packing a serious punch in terms of amount of weight and efficiency.
So far there isn't anything it cannot do, but the major caveat is some of those exercises that you're used to take some getting used to with cables. For example. A barbell squat on it...the machine will tell you to do front squats instead. I guess to me I prefer regular over the shoulder so instead of doing front squats I stick with suitcase squats.
Either way, the time under tension is Def there and the thing is tearing me up daily.
I like how minimalist it is, would be awesome for indoors
