It helps you by validating that payments you receive are real.

It does not help the network.

all replicas matter

one simple example is in setting a bigger mempool... then your node is keeping transactions during heavy traffic from falling out of mempools without the sender knowing

this is also why you can then add also to enable full RBF at the same time and this is definitely doing a service to the network as a whole

it's easy to run a node. I have 2 here on 2 machines at home

they propagate megabytes of data to feed others, strengthening the network every day

sometimes they may send data to miners, who knows?

a hostile government will see them and know that their censorship task Will be that much bigger someday

it's a fuck you to the censors
