I am about to do something I have not done in years. Open Facebook.

I have stayed off the platform for years now. I miss some of the people I was in contact with there. Old school friends, colleagues, students… a whole lot of my life is there and I have lost touch with them. Because Meta is pure evil in my eyes.

I will go to Facebook and let them know about #nostr. About the promise it holds and the possibilities it offers. Those that will come get it, and those are the ones worth keeping. #maytheybewithusbyMay

No just saying Facebook is a bad place with bad energy and you should mentally prepare yourself. I definitely think it’s a good idea to save as many people as possible.

People are always surprised I do not have WhatsApp. They do not understand how I live without it. They hooked, on a data harvesting octopus that uses algos to play with their minds.

Yea most people don’t want to take the time to understand or even care enough to understand. They go for simplicity and convenience. But they fail to realize there’s a price to pay and it’s their privacy.

Most of my network there is full of rebellious makers, musicians, filmmakers, visual artists… #nostr is their home, they just don’t know it yet

Good luck. I've never had a Facebook account and I'm sure that I missed out on keeping up and staying in touch but I was repelled by the idea of it from the beginning.

Networking wise it made it easy to keep in touch with people. I lived in a bunch of countries, it’s a bit all over the place. At first, not too bad, mostly people talking about their lives. Then, commercial entities seeking continuous engagement took over and meta weaponised the platform to serve their needs and sell the sheep, us.
