Getting "used to losing" does not help in itself but I get the idea: toughen up, and learn from mistakes as much as possible and err on the side of action rather than missing out from fear of failure.

I learned this playing sports: You can lose a million times and blame everything and everyone but yourself, or even being too hard on yourself but failing to appreciate the learning experience. Embrace errors and action. Just like kids do, when they are not put down by adults.
