I like the idea of disappearing notes and disappearing media. Imagine I walk away from my profile for a month and it’s complete clear of data.

Same, would match how I use nostr, which is just for random thoughts, most of which are garbage. 🤣
Of course, people would archive notes from other people that were important to them, but thats a feature not a bug.
Going to be tough theres a tool you can use to see what relays your notes end up on amd ive seen 2 years old notes on relays id never seen before. Not sure if such signalling would be respected, atleast on popular notes.

Amnesiac social media makes a lot of sense. I was very surprised when I didn't see that Billy into Activity Pub platforms when I stumbled into that way back when.
Could be great against people who go through others older posts to harass them on an opinion they might not have anymore. Great too for younger people posting nonsense online that they'll regret in the future for one reason or another.
Being able to go into your settings and add an expiration dates to posts makes sense to me.
