Naw man, I don't even plug an Ethernet cable into a new "smart" TV these days, or configure WiFi. New TVs are completely infested with crapware.
Instead: Hook up a 4K Apple TV box, sign on with a burner Apple account, delete all the apps on it, and install Infuse. Point Infuse to an SMB share on your network, typically on a NAS. Download all movies and TV shows with BitTorrent.
Total cost is maybe $2/mo for Infuse. Pay for it anonymously using an Apple gift card paid for in Bitcoin.
