I discussed a few years ago, how AI would kill „Capitalism“ as we know it.

If Blackrock deploys a sufficiently powerful self training AI and their competitors do the same, at some points the AIs will control so much trading volume that the stock market will completely decouple from real valuations and be just AIs teaming up to screw retail, until only AIs are left.

at that point it will mark the end of trading as a viable business and "stock" markets will revert to the original intention of places to buy shares in a company and hold them for their cash flow generating value

capitalism will continue just fine but "trading" securities will have met its logical conclusion and cease being valuable

if everyone is a high frequency trader then no one is a high frequency trader

Capitalism will die. Free market society will emerge.

capitalism- An economic system in which the means of production and distribution are privately or corporately owned and development occurs through the accumulation and reinvestment of profits gained in a free market.

Yes, but corporations in Capitalism and property are state defined. That will not hold.

I am not a fan of this recent trend where capitalism and socialism are stretched to encompass all political systems in a binary way.

Feudalism for example is a system that has many elements of capitalism abd of socialism. Or current Cronyism as well, albeit it has been titled Capitalism so often it to me makes almost no sense to argue.

For the coming sovereign individual+AI society we will need another name. If we manage to not be consumed by the authoritarians first that is.
