There is no second best to Bitcoin. There are two main reasons for this:

1. Bitcoin has a massive network effect and origin that cannot be repeated

2. Bitcoin can copy every utility with sidechains

Monero is a shitcoin. Ring signatures on Bitcoin is not a shitcoin.

Unfortunately, there is a massive campaign trying to stop true sidechains from being merged into Bitcoin. So definitely not the "first draft", but Bitcoin will eventually consume all shitcoins and fiat currencies to be the one money.

1. Ad popularis is a weak argument (Let's all use USD if that is the case. Wider network effect than Bitcoin.)

2. Sidechains don't make Bitcoin fungible. And the discreet nature and ubiquity of RandomX mining would not be transferred to a Bitcoin sidechain.

He calls any crypto that's not bitcoin a "shitcoin" and proceeds to defend solution of attaching another chain as sidechain as a BTC improvement. So by his logic he'll save BTC via attaching a shitcoin to the BTC, admitting that BTC is an unscalable privacy mess first draft of a cryptocurrency that only can be saved via attaching a shitcoin to it. There're so many logical fallacies there.
