This is all a normal part of the Whirlpool process. It is only a random selection process.

Yeah I guess my concern was that I haven't seen it progress past 20% for the longest time. Like its connected to the Whirlpool but my inputs aren't being registered

It is random, and follows the rules so that every mix is not with any of your own uxtos, and has new remixers paying the mining fee.

If using Sparrow you need to leave the instance open and running. You can set your computer to never sleep and then lock the Sparrow wallet. OR you can run whirlpool cli on dedicated hardware so that it just runs 24/7

"Uxto's which are waiting to remix will sit at 20% ready to be chosen at random by the Whirlpool Coordinator to participate in a coinjoin cycle. Remixing is free and it is normal for the status of remixing uxto's to be at 20%. Once your uxto is chosen to participate in a remix the status will move to 100% within a matter of seconds."
