Interesting concept, but Umbrel is designed primarily as a plug-and-play self-hosted server for apps like Bitcoin nodes, Lightning, Nextcloud, and more. While local storage is key for privacy and resilience, etching data onto granite seems… a bit extreme.

If durability is the goal, wouldn’t a well-maintained RAID setup with regular offsite backups (or something like IPFS for redundancy) be a more practical solution?
